Jon's leading-edge work on bird language has been posted in magazine articles, books and is the subject of popular audio CD series. Inspired by his childhood mentoring with tracker and author Tom Brown, Jr., Jon has pioneered blending Native mentoring techniques from around the world with the tools of modern field ecology. Jon Young currently lives in California and teaches a variety of programs in California and around the U.S. and Europe. Mitchell joined in some of the early Wilderness Awareness School Programs with Jon, Mohawk elder Jake Swamp, Ingwe and others down in West VA. during the mid-1990′s.
