Professor Davis has published six collections of poetry, including Preliminary Report (Copper Canyon, 2010), andScrimmage of Appetite, for which he was awarded a 1998 Lannan Literary Award in Poetry. He is currently completing work on three books of poetry, How is This Fun: The Poems of Chuck Calabreze, Heteronymy: An Anthology, and a third, as yet untitled, collection, as well as a collection of short fiction, In It for the Short Haul. He has received a number of awards for his poetry, including two National Endowment for the Arts Fellowships, the G.E. Younger Writers Award, the Lavan Prize from the Academy of American Poets, a Lannan Residenc, a Cill Rialaig residency, and a fellowship to The Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown.
